About US

The mission of the Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS® (MSBR) is to advocate for its members and the public to preserve the right to own, transfer and utilize real property. MSBR provides its members with resources to conduct business professionally in accordance with the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.

Starting in 1953 with the formation of the Talbot County Board of REALTORS, the REALTOR community grew when Dorchester County Board of REALTORS joined in 1959 and Caroline County in 2023.

The association remains unwavering in its commitment to fundamental services for members, including:

Advocacy 

·       Provide awareness and education to government officials to identify issues related to and affecting real estate and show how regulations and legislation impact the market.

·       Identify open local government positions; seek out members who would be eligible and qualified.

·       Inform and educate the membership on local, state, and national Legislative and Regulatory issues & priorities.

 

Technology

Seek out and promote resources and related products that enhance professionalism, education, reduce risk and add value to the real estate industry.
Provide education and training to the members to assist them in their technology needs.
Consumer Outreach

Increase the public’s awareness on real estate related issues and topics through engagement in person, online and in print.
Be the “Voice for Real Estate” with community involvement; advocacy efforts and community investment.
Member Engagement

Provide professional enhancement opportunities for MSBR leadership and members.
Keep consumers aware of the value of the REALTOR® and the benefits of homeownership.
Seek out opportunities to collaborate with local governments, community groups and REALTOR organizations for the benefit of the MSBR members and the public.
Encourage MSBR members to participate at a local, state, and national level and serve on local, Maryland Association of REALTORS and National Association of REALTORS committees.
Identity, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility

Mid-Shore REALTORS® will expand its Identity, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Association of REALTORS and National Association of REALTORS and other multi-cultural organizations.
The IDEA Committee will encourage greater participation in Mid-Shore Board of REALTORS® leadership and activities, with a focus on raising awareness and engaging participation from members of diverse backgrounds, new members, and members who have not previously been involved.
